At Sandbridge Beach, VA

We're having a lovely time.  We got here around noon, after leaving home about 3:30 a.m.  After getting settled in, we drove to Virginia Beach, had a late lunch, walked on the boardwalk and had an ice cream cone.  We didn't take any pictures there, because we thought we had forgotten the camera, but it turned out to be in the back seat the whole time!  Anyway... here are some photos in and around the beach house on our first day here:

Beautiful Hemlock Home weekend

It was a beautiful weekend in Mifflin County.  The kids came over on Saturday for lunch.  Chris brought some cherry firewood, which is much appreciated.  Thad, who was still recovering from hives he got from an innoculation, sure enjoyed being outside.  We, as always, sure enjoyed the company of Thad, Allison and Chris.  We worshiped with the Gerwick family Sunday morning, before returning to Berks County and our South Mountain home.  Here are some photos:

Kari delivers children's sermon with Thad, who wanted to hang around
awhile. Beautiful and powerful worship. Wonderful church family for
the Gerwick family. Allison and Chris also transferred membership to
Trinity UMC this morning. Beautiful day.
