Mum

I just furnished a visit with Mum, after work. She's doing very well!

When I got there, she was sitting up in a chair, and she had just come back from physical therapy.

We found out today that she will be moving to a rehab facility on Tuesday. If all works out well, she might get to go to StoneRidge for that. That's where Dad is, of course. They don't have a bed available at the moment, so keep praying about that one! If not, she will be able to go to a Reading Hospital rehab facility, near here.

That's all for now. Over and out!

She's back!

Here she is, back from her surgery. Notice the Swedish fish in the foreground!

Mum

She's back in her room now.

Mum's surgery

The surgeon just called to let me know that Mum's surgery is completed, it went very well, she is awake and is doing fine.
I'll be heading over once I get the call that she is being moved from the recovery area to her room.
Thank God for answered prayer and all our blessings!

Mum

Mum is on her way to the operating room. According to estimates, she will be out of recovery and back to her room around 2 p.m. They will be calling me to let me know when she will be returning to her room.

She was in very good spirits. Also, I talked to the head nurse at StoneRidge. Dad is doing very well and responded well to the news about Mum.

Mum

Surgery is scheduled for 9:40 a.m.

Mum

Mum's spirits continue to be good. I talked to her on the phone a few minutes ago, and she was getting ready to eat something.

Also, Dad has been told what has happened to her and he is responding well to the news.

I've gotten permission to miss work tomorrow, so I will be able to be with her before and after the surgery.

Mum

No surgery today. Mum will be given plenty of pain medication until tomorrow, when the procedure will take place.

I work only ten minutes from hospital, so I'll come over when the surgery us scheduled.

Going home now to sleep.

Mum's hip

Still waiting to hear about when surgery will be.

Mum

Mum is in her room now, and once the pulmomonologist and cardiologist see her, she will have the surgery. Looks like it ought to happen today.

I keep updating here with pertinent information. You can REPLY to the email you receive to send me messages. That will work better than phone, because cell service is limited here and I can't always answer the phone, but I will always see an email message.

Mum us in good spirits and has said "let's do 'ER."

:)
