Thanksgiving festivities
Whew! What a joy-filled and busy Thanksgiving we've had. All the blessings the past months have brought, in spite of what might have seemed tragic on the surface. Truly a reason to give thanks and to be filled with joy and gratitude. Here are some photos of the past few days, beginning with Thanksgiving day with Allison, Chris, Thad and Brett, to a Friday night bonfire to a Sunday afternoon Thanksgiving dinner with Mom, Bill, Mum, Dad and Zach. Here are some photos:

Mum
I just talked to Mum. She is all moved into her new room in the rehab unit at StoneRidge. It's a private room, and she loves it! And she said that the physical therapists are very pleased with her healing progress, too. We'll not be visiting tonight, but we will be tomorrow night, and we'll send a photo of her new room.

Hemlock Home visit with Allison and the boys
Chris was working the Penn State game, but Allison, Thad and Brett came to visit us at Hemlock Home on Saturday. We had a wonderful day. Here are some photos:
Mum
We stopped on our way home to take Mum to church. Dad hadn't come down yet when we took these photos, but look how good she looks! And she says she's feeling great!

Weekend
I've spoken to Mum a couple times today. She continues to be perky, upbeat and happy... not to mention the fact that her healing is going very well.
Mum insists that Debbie and I go to the cabin this weekend so we don't miss our bi-weekly visit with Allison, Chris and the boys, so we'll be leaving for the cabin after work today and returning on Sunday. We'll be in touch with Mum via phone throughout the weekend.
All for now... except that we have to make sure we bring her some more Butterfingers bars and Swedish fish!

Mum
Just spoke to Mum on the phone. She is very upbeat and she is full of energy and so happy to be at StoneRidge. What a blessing that this situation is working out the way it is. Whew!

Mum
We were able to visit both mum and dad this evening. Dad was in Mum's room when we got there. Both are doing well.
Mum at StoneRidge
Had to go to StoneRidge to sign papers for Mum's stay. Popped in to check on her before running back to work. She's doing very well.
We're coming down this evening to take some clothes for her, and we'll see Dad, too. Mum says he already has been down to see her once.
All for now.
